Get ready for groceries delivered by robot! Robomart has unveiled its RM5, a fully autonomous (level-four) delivery vehicle poised to disrupt the on-demand grocery landscape. This shuttle-bus-sized bot boasts 10 individual lockers, allowing it to transport up to 500 pounds of goods and handle multiple deliveries per trip. Robomart plans to launch its own app, connecting customers with a diverse selection of retailers and restaurants, all with a flat $3 delivery fee. The company claims this will translate to lower fulfillment costs for businesses, and no markups or tips for consumers. Austin, Texas, is slated to be the first city to experience the RM5’s robotic grocery service later this year.
