Google Cloud is launching a suite of AI-driven security solutions aimed at strengthening enterprise threat protection and easing the strain on security teams. The initiative focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to proactively defend organizations while also securing their own AI deployments from emerging vulnerabilities.
Central to the rollout are enhancements to the AI Protection solution within Security Command Center, which now offers automated discovery of AI agents and servers. Model Armor extends in-line protection to prompts and responses within Agentspace, mitigating risks such as prompt injection and data exfiltration. Posture controls ensure AI agents comply with established company security policies, and threat detection capabilities are bolstered by threat intelligence from Mandiant and Google Cloud.
Google envisions a future powered by an “agentic security operations centre (SOC)”, where collaborative AI agents manage threats, automate alert investigations, and assist engineers in crafting new threat detections. The Alert Investigation agent, currently in preview, autonomously investigates security events and proposes actionable recommendations for security analysts.
Google Security Operations is also introducing SecOps Labs, granting users early access to powerful Gemini AI-powered features. Compliance Manager streamlines audits and policy enforcement, while Risk Reports pinpoint potential security vulnerabilities. A new IAM role picker, powered by Gemini, suggests secure, least-privilege roles for optimized access control, further strengthening the security posture.
