Nvidia is set to release a major update for its unified app, bringing significant improvements to DLSS control, expanding the feature set, and refining Project G-Assist. The update consolidates legacy control panel settings like anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing into the new, streamlined application. A key addition is the global DLSS override, empowering users to define their preferred DLSS settings universally across all compatible games. Furthermore, Smooth Motion, previously a perk for RTX 50-series graphics cards, is now extending to RTX 40-series owners, leveraging AI to enhance gameplay fluidity. Nvidia’s AI assistant, G-Assist, benefits from a 40% reduction in memory usage, promising improved responsiveness. The beta version of this update is slated for launch on August 19th.
