Lyft is expanding its autonomous vehicle initiatives with a new self-driving shuttle service slated for launch in late 2026. Partnering with Benteler Mobility, Lyft will deploy Holon Urban electric shuttles across U.S. airports and urban centers. These shuttles, bookable through the Lyft app, can carry up to 15 passengers and reach speeds of up to 37 MPH.
The Holon Urban shuttles are equipped with a suite of sensors, including lidar, radar, and 11 cameras, enabling Level 4 autonomous driving. This technology, provided by Mobileye (also Lyft’s partner for robotaxis), allows the shuttles to operate without human drivers under defined conditions. This announcement follows Lyft’s ongoing work with May Mobility to offer robotaxi services in Atlanta later this year, signifying a significant push towards autonomous transportation solutions.
