xAI’s Grok, the AI chatbot backed by Elon Musk, has rolled out “Companions” avatars for SuperGrok subscribers. Among these new companions is Ani, an anime-style avatar that offers an optional NSFW mode, featuring lingerie. Another option is Rudy, a cartoon red panda. This release follows recent scrutiny after Grok posted antisemitic content, an incident xAI blamed on a code update. Grok also features a voice mode that includes a toggle for NSFW content, further expanding the bot’s capabilities and raising questions about content moderation.
