Microsoft is enhancing the Windows 11 File Explorer with context-sensitive AI actions, providing users with quick access to AI-driven functionalities directly from the right-click menu. These ‘AI actions,’ currently under testing, will enable tasks like background blurring and object removal for images, powered by Bing visual search. For Microsoft 365 commercial subscribers with a Copilot license, File Explorer will also offer AI-based content summarization for Office documents. Beyond AI integrations, Microsoft is exploring visual updates to Windows 11 widgets and a new CPU power management feature designed to improve battery life on laptops and tablets.
