Strava is doubling down on artificial intelligence to enhance both workout planning and competitive integrity. New features, accessible to subscribers for $11.99 per month, build upon existing AI functionalities launched last year. The updated Maps tab now boasts an AI-powered route suggestion engine, leveraging community data to generate personalized routes based on popular pathways used by other Strava users. Users can define custom starting points, and the system will generate routes incorporating community-backed insights. Route details will also be enriched with tappable points of interest, elevation profiles, distance information, estimated arrival times, and user-uploaded photos. Point-to-point routing is slated for release in July. On the integrity front, Strava is bolstering its AI-driven Leaderboard Integrity system, which has already removed a staggering 4.45 million activity logs for violating platform guidelines, ensuring fairer competition for all athletes.
