Spotify has unveiled a significantly updated Apple TV app, promising a speedier and more visually engaging experience. The redesign brings several popular features from the mobile app to the big screen, including highly anticipated video podcast support. Music video integration is also rolling out to Premium subscribers in 97 markets, though currently excluding the US and Canada.

The revamped app mirrors more mobile functionalities, providing users with enhanced queue management, real-time song lyrics, and access to Spotify’s AI DJ. This feature utilizes artificial intelligence to curate personalized music recommendations. Leveraging Spotify Connect, users retain the ability to control playback directly from their smartphones or tablets.

Looking ahead, Spotify is expanding its video content offerings, having recently partnered with Netflix and The Ringer to introduce 16 video podcast series slated for the streaming platform in 2026.
