Reddit has begun the search for a new Chief Product Officer (CPO) following the announcement that Pali Bhat will be leaving the company in the coming months. Bhat, who joined Reddit in October 2021, was instrumental in launching key features, including an AI-powered search tool, and streamlining the platform’s user interface. The company’s focus remains firmly set on international expansion, bolstering its advertising offerings, enhancing search capabilities, and optimizing the core user experience. This leadership change occurs after a period marked by user protests related to API pricing adjustments. In an internal communication, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman commended Bhat for his contributions in cultivating a ‘culture of execution,’ developing a ‘talented team,’ and ‘navigating some of the most challenging and important moments in our history.’ The next CPO will be pivotal in leading Reddit’s continued growth and integration of AI technologies.
