Philips Hue is expanding its smart home ecosystem with the launch of the Philips Hue Play Wall Washer and a new AI-powered assistant. The Play Wall Washer, available in black or white, is designed to bathe walls in a wide, customizable spread of light. Users can control the Wall Washer through the Hue app, voice assistants, and integration with the Hue HDMI Sync box for immersive entertainment experiences. The company’s generative AI assistant, currently rolling out in select European markets with a planned global launch in August, enables users to create personalized lighting scenes simply by providing text prompts. This marks a significant step toward intuitive and adaptive smart lighting control.
