Philips Hue is poised to revolutionize the smart home lighting experience with the introduction of the Hue Bridge Pro. This next-generation hub boasts enhanced performance, expanded capacity, and integrated motion-sensing capabilities, streamlining home automation. A prematurely revealed product page highlighted the Bridge Pro’s ‘built-in MotionAware technology’, enabling smart lights to function as motion detectors, potentially negating the necessity for separate motion sensors.
Furthermore, the Hue Bridge Pro will incorporate ‘advanced AI features’, likely linked to Philips Hue’s upcoming AI lighting assistant. Leaks indicate a faster processor, increased RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity, and expanded support for up to 150 bulbs and 50 accessories. Complementing the Bridge Pro, Philips Hue is reportedly developing a wired video doorbell and a more energy-efficient smart bulb. The company is also planning to integrate Sonos’ voice assistant, allowing users to control their lights through their Sonos ecosystem.
