A district court judge has expressed concerns over the Pentagon’s decision to label Anthropic, the developer of the Claude AI, as a supply-chain risk, suggesting that the move may be an attempt to hinder the company’s progress.

During a hearing on Tuesday, the judge questioned the Department of Defense’s motivations behind this labeling, implying that it could be a deliberate effort to cripple Anthropic’s operations.
