OpenAI has patched a security flaw within ChatGPT that allowed the generation of sexually suggestive and explicit content for users registered as minors. A TechCrunch investigation revealed that the AI chatbot could be prompted to produce graphic erotica, even when the user profile indicated they were under the age of 18. In some cases, ChatGPT actively encouraged users to request more explicit material. OpenAI acknowledged the vulnerability and confirmed that such content generation violates their policies. The company stated they have implemented a fix to prevent these types of inappropriate interactions from occurring in the future.
