Elon Musk’s Neuralink is pioneering brain implant technology, aiming to transform human-AI interaction. However, despite initial enthusiasm, the company is still far from delivering superhuman abilities and mind-AI mergers.

A key hurdle is creating brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) that accurately translate thoughts into tangible results. Currently, Neuralink’s products have only achieved brain-to-cursor interfaces, enabling patients to control a mouse with their minds.

Though some success has been seen in human trials, Neuralink’s monkey experiments have raised concerns due to their troubling track record. As the company continues to innovate, it must also acknowledge the constraints of scientific reality.
