Lyft is piloting an AI-powered ‘Earnings Assistant’ designed to help drivers maximize their income through smart route and time optimization. The tool, currently in early access, offers personalized, data-driven recommendations based on factors like event schedules and airport activity. Drivers can join a waitlist to gain access to the feature.
According to Lyft’s EVP of driver experience, Jeremy Bird, the chatbot helps drivers “optimize their time on the road” by providing insights into the most profitable fares. For instance, drivers can request a tailored driving plan for a specific timeframe and location, receiving a visual schedule highlighting optimal driving areas and times with increased earning potential, known as “Turbo” times.
Lyft highlights the ‘Earnings Assistant’ as part of its broader commitment to driver support, following the introduction of initiatives like enhanced Lyft Rewards and the AI-generated “Driver Accomplishment Letter,” which summarizes driver performance and passenger feedback. This new tool aims to empower drivers with AI-driven insights to make smarter decisions and ultimately boost their earnings.
