Speaking to The Financial Times, Jobs and Ive highlighted the unintended negative consequences of previous technological advancements, drawing a parallel to the iPhone. Ive emphasized his commitment to ensuring that this new device offers a more positive technological future, stating that “humanity deserves better.” Jobs, who has invested in both Ive’s design firm, LoveFrom, and his hardware venture – soon to be integrated into OpenAI for approximately $6.5 billion – expressed strong optimism for the project. She noted her firsthand experience witnessing Ive’s ability to transform concepts into progressively refined prototypes, suggesting a promising trajectory for the AI device.
