Grammarly’s ‘expert review’ AI feature, which generated edit suggestions inspired by real writers, has been discontinued by Superhuman.
The decision was made after the company received feedback from experts, including an editor-in-chief and other staff members, who were not consulted about the use of their writing styles.
According to Ailian Gan, Superhuman’s director of product management, the feature will be reimagined to give experts control over their representation, ensuring they have a say in how their work is used.
This move marks a significant step towards prioritizing the rights and autonomy of experts, promoting responsible and transparent use of AI-powered tools.
