Select tech journalists have experienced a hands-on preview of Google’s Android XR smart glasses prototype, internally known as Project Moohan. The demonstration offered a controlled environment showcasing the device’s capabilities. Described as a lighter and more comfortable alternative to Apple Vision Pro, running on an Android-based operating system, Project Moohan integrates Google’s Gemini AI assistant. Users can activate Gemini by pressing a button on the glasses, enabling voice-activated tasks such as navigating with Google Maps.
