Google’s Gemini AI App Revolutionizes Mac Productivity

Google has launched a new Gemini app for Mac, aimed at enhancing desktop productivity by providing seamless interactions with the AI assistant. The app allows users to access Gemini without switching windows, using the Option + Space shortcut to summon a floating chat bubble.

Within this chat bubble, users can ask questions and share their current window with Gemini, but only after granting the necessary permissions for the AI to access their system’s information. Once authorized, Gemini can extract relevant data from the shared window to deliver more accurate and context-specific responses.

This innovative feature draws parallels with Apple’s revamped Spotlight feature, which enables users to perform various actions directly from their device, streamlining their workflow and boosting overall efficiency.
