Google is making its AI-powered podcast creation tool, Audio Overviews, accessible to a much wider audience. Previously limited to English, the feature within the NotebookLM app now supports over 50 languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, Hindi, Turkish, Korean, and Chinese. This allows users globally to leverage the power of AI to transform research materials into engaging, conversational audio experiences. Users can easily switch the output language within the NotebookLM settings. Google is positioning this multilingual update as an “early look,” signaling ongoing improvements based on user input. Since its initial release, Audio Overviews has expanded its availability to over 200 countries and introduced features like interactive AI hosts. The technology is also being integrated into other Google products such as the Gemini AI chatbot and Google Docs, highlighting the company’s focus on making written content more accessible and interactive through AI-generated podcasts.
