Google Nest Doorbells Reach Record-Low Prices: Enhance Home Security Without Breaking the Bank

Google’s battery-powered Nest Doorbell has hit its lowest price point since December, offering an affordable solution for those looking to bolster their home security. A video doorbell can provide peace of mind, especially when it comes to monitoring deliveries while away from home.

Currently, the battery-powered, second-gen Nest Doorbell is available for $129.99, a $50 discount from its original price, from Amazon and Best Buy. Meanwhile, the third-gen Nest Doorbell, which is wired, is on sale for $139.99, a $40 discount, at Amazon, Best Buy, and the Google Store.

The choice between the battery-powered and wired models ultimately depends on individual preferences and needs. The battery model is ideal for renter-friendly installations, as it can be set up wire-free. On the other hand, the wired version is considered a better long-term investment, as it doesn’t require charging and delivers sharper 2K video with a wider 166-degree field of view.

Both Nest models support alerts for people, packages, and animals without a subscription and offer features like night vision, two-way audio, and a tall head-to-toe view. They also integrate well with other Google devices, allowing users to view feeds on compatible Google TV devices and Nest displays.

Additionally, subscribing to Google Home Premium, which starts at $10 a month, provides access to 30 days of event-based history, Gemini-powered features, and alerts for familiar faces. The Google Home Premium Advanced subscription, priced at $20 a month, offers 24/7 recording, the ability to quickly search video history, and more descriptive notifications, among other features.
