Google I/O 2025 placed artificial intelligence firmly in the spotlight, unveiling a wave of Gemini-powered advancements across its product ecosystem. The keynote event detailed significant enhancements to existing services and introduced entirely new AI-driven capabilities, impacting everything from Search to filmmaking. A major highlight was the broad US rollout of Google’s AI Mode for Search, a Gemini AI chatbot-powered tab promising a more conversational and insightful search experience. Deep search capabilities and automatic chart generation are slated for release this summer. Google Beam, the evolution of Project Starline, will soon be available within an HP device, boasting a light field display and six cameras for immersive 3D video calls. Imagen 4, Google’s upgraded text-to-image generator, features improved text rendering and broader export compatibility, while Veo 3 now allows for the generation of synchronized video and sound. For aspiring filmmakers, Google introduced Flow, an AI filmmaking application leveraging Veo, Imagen, and Gemini to effortlessly create AI-generated video clips.
