Google is bolstering its AI offerings with significant updates across its Gemini ecosystem. The Gemini app now accepts audio files, Google Search has widened its linguistic reach, and NotebookLM is generating more versatile reports. A much-anticipated feature, Gemini’s audio file support allows free users to process clips up to 10 minutes long, capped at five daily prompts. Subscribers to AI Pro and AI Ultra plans enjoy extended capabilities, processing files up to three hours. The app supports various audio formats and ZIP files, accommodating up to 10 files per prompt.
Google Search’s AI-powered mode now speaks Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese, thanks to the integration of Gemini 2.5. This empowers a broader user base to leverage AI for complex inquiries in their native tongues. Meanwhile, NotebookLM is empowering users with new report formats in over 80 languages. Users can effortlessly generate study guides, briefing documents, blog posts, flashcards, and quizzes from diverse uploaded materials. This enhanced functionality includes fine-grained controls over report structure, tone, and style. These enhancements build upon Google’s commitment to AI innovation, complementing recent releases such as automatic user detail recall in Gemini conversations and free access to Workspace’s Vids video generation tool.
