Eight Sleep has launched the Pod 5, the newest version of their smart sleep system, boasting AI-enhanced health monitoring capabilities. The system includes a temperature-regulated mattress cover and integrated speakers, all working in tandem to provide a better night’s sleep. A key feature is the improved Health Check within the Eight Sleep app, utilizing AI to analyze heart rate and breathing patterns throughout the night and identify potential health concerns. Building on the foundation of previous models, the Pod 5 retains the signature temperature-controlled mattress cover and adds a height-adjustable base to mitigate snoring. The new blanket synchronizes with the cover to deliver water-powered cooling and warming. Additionally, the system now features custom soundscapes, developed in partnership with neuroscientist Andrew Huberman, played through integrated speakers to help users relax before sleep. The Pod 5 is priced between $2,849 and $6,099, depending on the chosen configuration.
