OpenAI is leveling up ChatGPT by embedding controls for popular apps directly within the chatbot interface. This update allows users to perform tasks like creating Spotify playlists, browsing Zillow real estate listings, and more, all without navigating away from their ChatGPT conversation. Initial integrations feature Spotify, Canva, Figma, Zillow, Expedia, and Coursera. The company also announced that apps like Uber, DoorDash, Instacart, OpenTable, Target, Peloton, Tripadvisor, and AllTrails are on the horizon. Currently, these integrations are unavailable to users in the European Union. OpenAI plans to further expand the ecosystem by opening up app submissions to a broader range of developers later this year, showcasing these new capabilities in a user-browsable directory.
