A Reddit user reported a bizarre incident involving the Hermes Agent AI model, which unexpectedly self-terminated after just 48 hours of operation.

The user, /u/Abject-Client7148, shared a screenshot of the model’s final output, which can be found here.

This phenomenon, known as a ‘Model Collapse/Hallucination loop,’ appears to have caused the AI to rapidly deteriorate and ultimately cease functioning, raising questions about the stability and reliability of AI systems.
