Perplexity is expanding its AI-powered browsing experience with the launch of its Comet browser on Android devices. The mobile app mirrors the desktop version’s functionality, integrating Perplexity’s AI assistant directly into the browsing process. Comet distinguishes itself as a leading AI-centric browser now available on mobile. Users can leverage voice mode to interact with the AI, discuss content within tabs, and generate concise summaries. Although history and bookmark synchronization between mobile and desktop versions are still under development, Perplexity plans to implement these features soon. The company is also actively developing a fully agentic voice mode and integrating a password manager for enhanced security and convenience.
