A new AI experiment allows users to engage in a Socratic dialogue with a simulated Socrates, exploring fundamental questions about purpose, happiness, and the good life. The AI, drawing inspiration from the philosophical method of questioning, guides users through a series of prompts designed to encourage self-reflection. Participants are challenged to define their own understanding of happiness, truth, and the importance of relationships, prompting a deeper examination of their personal values and beliefs. This project, initially shared on Reddit’s Artificial Intelligence forum, demonstrates the potential of AI to facilitate philosophical inquiry and self-discovery.
