An artist has spoken out against what they see as a pervasive anti-AI bias within online art communities. In a Reddit post, the artist detailed their experience of creating a 3D dinosaur animation, specifically highlighting that the animation process preserved the integrity of their original sculpted artwork. Despite this, the artist faced negative reactions and accusations of compromising “artistic integrity” due to the use of AI in the creation process. The artist drew a comparison to traditional software that automates tasks via human input, arguing that AI-driven tools are being unfairly stigmatized as “fraudulent slop” while methods achieving similar results through manual software manipulation are readily accepted.
