A powerhouse partnership is forging a new path in autonomous transportation. Stellantis, Nvidia, Foxconn, and Uber are joining forces to deploy a fleet of robotaxis, aiming to revolutionize urban mobility. Stellantis, the automotive giant behind brands like Jeep, will manufacture the vehicles, utilizing its purpose-built ‘AV-Ready’ platforms. The brains of the operation will be powered by Nvidia’s advanced self-driving technology, built on the Drive AGX Hyperion 10 architecture. Foxconn, a leader in electronics manufacturing, will contribute its expertise in hardware and systems integration to ensure seamless performance. Uber will integrate these autonomous vehicles into its ride-hailing network, with plans to launch the service in the United States, scaling to 5,000 robotaxis by 2028. This collaborative effort underscores the accelerating development and commercialization of autonomous driving technology and Stellantis’s commitment to the space with Level 3 offerings in many of its brands and another robotaxi deal with Pony.ai.
