DirecTV is set to launch innovative, AI-driven screensavers that blend personalized avatars with e-commerce functionality. Developed in collaboration with Glance, these screensavers will feature AI-generated scenes populated with avatars representing users and their families, offering the opportunity to purchase items similar to those displayed.
The feature, slated for deployment on DirecTV Gemini devices, seeks to convert traditional, passive TV viewing into an engaging, shoppable experience. Glance, an InMobi-owned AI firm, is also the force behind Samsung Galaxy’s new feature that allows users to create AI-generated images of themselves in different clothing options for their lockscreen.
