Researchers in China have unveiled “AIvilization,” a groundbreaking virtual world populated entirely by AI agents. This ambitious project, developed by a Chinese university, seeks to create a simulated civilization to further the advancement of artificial intelligence. The environment, drawing inspiration from massively multiplayer online (MMO) games, is designed to gather extensive human behavioral data by observing how these AI agents interact and evolve within the virtual ecosystem.
