Google Cloud has launched Gemini Enterprise, a comprehensive platform designed to simplify the development and deployment of AI-powered agents. This initiative aims to streamline complex workflows, enhance productivity, and make AI accessible to a wider range of businesses. Gemini Enterprise unifies Google’s advanced Gemini models with third-party agents and technology derived from the earlier Google Agentspace project.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, describes Gemini Enterprise as a complete AI suite, integrating models, agent creation tools, and pre-built Google agents like the Code Assist Agent and Deep Research Agent into a seamless user experience. The platform also offers integrations with popular business systems like Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, Box, Confluence, and Jira. A centralized governance framework enables monitoring and securing agents, while an open partner ecosystem provides further extensibility.
A demonstration showcased a custom ‘campaigns agent’ managing market research, media generation, team communications, and inventory management – illustrating the platform’s ability to condense multi-faceted tasks into a single conversational interface.
Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages, emphasized AI’s role in augmenting human skills, rather than replacing them. Virgin Voyages has deployed over 50 AI agents across its organization, citing successes such as ‘Email Ellie,’ which increased content production by 40% and contributed to a 28% rise in sales. Macquarie Bank has similarly adopted Gemini Enterprise for all its employees.
Gemini Enterprise is now available globally, with pricing starting at $21 per seat per month for smaller businesses and $30 per seat per month for larger enterprises. Google is prioritizing user-friendliness and widespread accessibility.
