YouTube is experimenting with AI-driven personalities within YouTube Music, acting as interactive hosts for listeners. These AI hosts offer contextual commentary, anecdotes, and trivia tied to the songs being played, with the goal of creating a more engaging and informative music experience. Currently available as part of YouTube’s Labs program, the trial is restricted to a select group of users in the US. Furthermore, YouTube is broadening access to certain AI features, previously exclusive to Premium subscribers, onto platforms like televisions and gaming consoles.
