GoPro is expanding its reach beyond action cameras with the Fluid Pro AI, a new handheld stabilizer designed for action cameras, smartphones, and compact point-and-shoot cameras. This device marks a departure from GoPro’s previous Karma Grip, offering support for a wider range of devices, including the Hero13 Black, various smartphones, and other cameras weighing up to 400 grams.

The Fluid Pro AI comes with a $229.99 price tag, placing it above competitors like the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro and DJI Osmo Mobile 7 Pro. However, GoPro is highlighting the Fluid Pro AI’s versatility and long-lasting battery life as key differentiators. One of its key features is an AI-powered tracking module, which utilizes hand gestures for remote control and keeps subjects in focus by automatically tracking faces or bodies. Additionally, users gain access to tools for creating panoramas and time-lapses via a dedicated mobile app.

Equipped with 360-degree panning and 320-degree tilting capabilities, the Fluid Pro AI also features a built-in LED fill light and interchangeable mounting brackets to accommodate various smartphone sizes. The stabilizer boasts an impressive 18-hour battery life, which is reduced to approximately six hours when using the AI tracker and LED light simultaneously. The GoPro Fluid Pro AI will be available for purchase on October 21st.
