A study from the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, examining YouTube video transcripts, revealed a surge in the use of terms like ‘meticulous,’ ‘delve,’ and ‘realm’ following ChatGPT’s widespread adoption. Conversely, other words such as ‘bolster’ and ‘nuance’ appear to be declining in usage. These findings suggest that AI is subtly influencing our linguistic choices, potentially altering the nuances of human expression, often operating below our conscious awareness.
