Europe Doubles Down on AI Investment at GITEX EUROPE

Europe is making a renewed push to bolster its AI capabilities and digital independence, with GITEX EUROPE x Ai Everything (May 21-23, Messe Berlin) serving as a key platform. Germany, a major economic force, anticipates its ICT sector to reach €232.8 billion by 2025, solidifying its position as a tech leader in Europe.

The event, orchestrated by KAOUN International, is expected to draw over 1,400 tech businesses, startups, and SMEs, supported by sponsors such as AWS and IBM, and a diverse array of national pavilions. More than 500 speakers will delve into topics ranging from AI and quantum computing to cloud technology and data sovereignty. Keynote speakers include Nobel Laureate Geoffrey Hinton, the Mayor of Berlin, and representatives from OpenAI.

The Ai Everything Europe conference will focus on the practical application of AI across various sectors, investment approaches, and global collaborations, with experts from Cohere, Synthesia, and the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence participating. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness cutting-edge technologies, including smart factory solutions from Brazil’s Ubivis and AI-powered nutrition plans from Hexis.

GITEX Quantum Expo (GQX) will showcase Europe’s ambition to lead in quantum technology by 2030, highlighting advancements and their impact across industries, in collaboration with IBM and QuIC. GITEX Cyber Valley will address the crucial issue of cyber resilience, with cybersecurity firms like Fortinet and Kaspersky joining law enforcement and policymakers.

GITEX Green Impact will concentrate on sustainable technologies, connecting innovators and investors in areas such as green hydrogen, bio-energy, and next-generation energy storage. North Star Europe, adapted from Expand North Star, is set to host over 750 startups and 20 global unicorns, attracting over 600 investors representing $1 trillion in assets under management. The launch of GITEX ScaleX will provide a growth platform for scale-ups, while GITEX SMEDEX will connect SMEs with international trade networks and investors.
