Anker has unveiled the Nebula X1, a smart 4K projector designed to bring a cinematic experience to your backyard. This all-in-one device boasts a triple-laser light engine producing a bright 3,500 ANSI lumens, ensuring a vibrant and clear picture even in outdoor environments. It also includes integrated Google TV for easy access to streaming services like Netflix.
Key features include optional battery-powered Wi-Fi satellite speakers for a true surround-sound setup and the ability to project a 200-inch image. A built-in gimbal allows for automatic keystone correction, focus adjustments, and ambient light/surface color adaptation, simplifying setup and optimizing image quality. The projector can even remember settings for different locations.
The Nebula X1 offers a 5,000:1 native contrast ratio, Rec.2020 color support, and Dolby Vision certification. Its internal audio system features four speakers (two 15W and two 5W). When paired with the optional satellite speakers, the system creates a 4.1.2 surround-sound experience.
While the satellite speakers are IP54-rated for dust and rain resistance, the projector itself lacks weather protection. Anker emphasizes the X1’s innovative liquid cooling system, which allows for a smaller form factor and quiet operation (26dB). Karaoke enthusiasts can also purchase optional wireless microphones.
The Nebula X1 will be available on May 21st. The projector alone is priced at $2,999, while a bundle including the projector, two microphones, a travel case, and the satellite speakers will be available for $3,298.
