A novel approach to understanding the intricacies of physics and philosophy is being investigated through a simulated pool-table environment. This project seeks to compare traditional physics models with an experimental ‘next state prediction’ model, which focuses on determining the most coherent continuation of a system’s current state.
The simulator leverages a virtual pool table as a simple, yet visually intuitive setting, where balls interact, collide, and bounce off boundaries. This setup enables easy verification of the prediction’s accuracy, making it an ideal testing ground for exploring concepts such as causality, information, and dynamic similarity.
Although this project does not aim to make sweeping claims about the nature of physics, it has the potential to provide a valuable framework for testing and refining complex ideas. The developer is inviting feedback and suggestions to further develop this innovative simulator and push the boundaries of our understanding.
