A surprising discovery has been made in the Claude Desktop binary, revealing Anthropic’s government deployment mode. This mode was first spotted on their status tracker on February 17th and has been found to route traffic to claude.fedstart.com, with authentication handled by Palantir Keycloak SSO. Notably, Sentry telemetry is disabled, and a pubsec banner is injected. All of these features were introduced in a single release, with no prior trace across eight versions.
