Google has unveiled an update to its AI-driven search capabilities, streamlining user access to linked content. As stated by Robby Stein, Vice President of Google Search, a popup list of links will now appear when users hover over sources in AI Overviews and AI Mode on desktop devices.
Each link will be accompanied by a brief description of the article and relevant images, thereby enriching the user experience with more informative and engaging content. Furthermore, Google will introduce more descriptive and prominent link icons within its AI responses across both desktop and mobile platforms.
According to Stein, testing has demonstrated the efficacy of this revamped interface, enabling users to effortlessly access high-quality content from diverse corners of the web.
