Hack The Box (HTB) has unveiled the HTB AI Range, a cybersecurity training platform enabling organizations to evaluate the resilience of AI-powered security agents in realistic environments. This platform allows human cybersecurity professionals to oversee and assess how effectively AI, both independently and in collaboration with human teams, can defend against cyber threats.

The HTB AI Range simulates complex enterprise networks, featuring thousands of continuously updated offensive and defensive targets. This allows for mapping to industry-standard frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK. While AI agents have demonstrated proficiency in handling simpler security challenges, human teams currently excel in tackling intricate, multi-stage attack scenarios.

The platform facilitates continuous testing and validation of cybersecurity defenses, providing teams with hands-on experience in combating AI-driven threats. The goal is to foster the development of more robust cybersecurity tools leveraging agentic AI. Complementing the platform launch, HTB is also introducing an AI Red Teamer Certification, designed to standardize and quantify the skills required to strengthen AI defenses. Organizations can use the AI Range to rigorously validate their existing security protocols against AI-powered attacks, ensuring their effectiveness in the face of evolving threats.
